Our Approach
S.T.E.A.M. Ahead St Landry is a program to provide help and material support for every St Landry Parish student involved in school activities in the ares of Science, Talent, Exploration, Arts, and Motion. We are raising funds for every SLP student to march with pride, compete with intensity and develop their talent to engage, thrive and become productive in a 21st century world.
St Landry Parish schools have built a legacy of excellence with committed educators, staff, and administrators working daily with our children with very little or outdated equipment. Academic and extracurricular programs and activities are so much more than entertainment and social projects. For thousands of students in St Landry Parish, science, arts, music, athletic, and technology programs serve as an extension of our children’s education helping them to develop discipline, leadership, teamwork, and creativity.
Participating in school activities opens doors to unforgettable experiences such as marching in Mardi Gras parades, performing at festivals and competitions, and competing on a local, regional, national, and international level. These moments build pride, unity, and confidence that last a lifetime and helps our students prepare for college, careers in the trades, and future careers not yet realized by teaching responsibility, time management, and collaboration.
